| Metaplace...the new 'Matrix'? | | |

The web, but for Massively Multiplayer online virtual worlds.
e.g. 1000000 World of warcraft games, or second life's...
What effect do you think this will have?
(when it goes mainstream in 2009)
I'm betting on an emergent, strong-general AI coming out of it in 2032.

However, if it gets popular enough, I'd love to see a standalone program with access to the same 'world'. It'd make a neat blend of virtual reality and web-browsing. |
