| MonsterMan3366 | Mar 31, 2007 6:48pm | | Hi everybody, how are things going? I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas of a product I could sell that would convince people to buy. It's for my computer class and I have to give a PowerPoint presentation with 10 slides on selling a product or service (I prefer a product). Originally I was thinking of doing it on JVC High Definition T.V.s but it seems too broad for me. It would be nice to make it something specific. If anybody has any good ideas please feel free to share. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :-) |

1. It detects loud noises in frequencies low enough that the most likely source is someone with a trunk lid rattling sound system in their car, but it could be configured for house based annoyances.
2. It then creates a corresponding sound at a suitable inaudible frequency and plays it through a directional speaker at an appropriate decibel level.
If the sound generators own dogs it will be much more effective, but if they don't it will still work at a secondary level. When the sound that has turned your daily existence into a living hell begins to emanate from them, any dogs that they own will begin to bark. Any dogs that their neighbors have will also begin to bark. When the "music" stops, so will the barking. People will assume that since the barking starts and stops with the audible sound, that it is the cause-they will not seek an inaudible reason. In fact no inaudible source will exist unless there is a loud obvious one looking them in the face.
Assuming that these people live near you and you don't wish to complain directly for one reason or another (Like having your car "keyed' at night.), this is a way to bring pressure to bear that overcomes the problem without any direct involvement from you.
The device would best be mounted in the socket of an outdoor light fixture. The sound emitter would be rotatable independently of the socket. (Sells for $29.95) For an image you could use one of those photo switches that the light bulb screws into. Add a small tweeter cone for the sound detector/emitter. |
